02 Coordinated Execution for a Safe, On-Time Remodel
Overcoming Access, Safety, and Scheduling Challenges in an Active Plant
Construction work had to be completed while the manufacturing plant remained fully operational.
The remodel was performed on the second floor, creating logistical and access challenges for material movement and construction activities.
Existing structural platforms required onsite modifications to support new installation requirements.
Additional second-floor access required exterior metal work and coordination within the active facility.
Multiple trades, including architectural finishes, technology systems, structured cabling, and FF&E, had to be carefully coordinated within an accelerated schedule.
All supervisors were required to be MSHA-certified and follow strict safety and operational protocols throughout the project.
Continuous coordination with the project owner was required throughout each stage of the design process, with supervisors actively involved in approvals, progress discussions, and decision-making to keep the project aligned.
The timeline was almost 2.5 months, requiring precise coordination to avoid delays or disruptions to plant operations.
